Sylt

We popped up to Sylt (on the North Sea coast, just south of the border with Denmark) last week to visit friends. As usual for Germany pretty much any time between October and April, the weather was crappy, so all we saw most of the way was cloud tops. There were a few layers of clouds, but we were quickly through them on the way down, so I didn't really have to work very hard.

It was cold, and for the most part foggy and occasionally drizzling, but there were a few moments of sunshine.

The obligatory shots from the aircraft, as well as a few obligatory shots of the beach. Enjoy.

Nachos

My family shrieks in horror when they hear the Partnerin tell them about things like this ... her family too. They wonder what I have done to their little girl.

Hey, I tried to show her how to do them properly, with freshly shredded cheddar and jack cheese, but she likes the stuff from the jar. Oh well. Come to think of it, I have never found good mexican food in Germany.
